Cleveland was established in 1857 as Mount Yonah. It became a town on August 18, 1870. Cleveland was known for the Home Of the Cabbage Patch Kids, Babyland General Hospital. Today there are many shops that are provided to the public. Cleveland has become a commercial, industrial and business community of White County. The city has a variety of events and places to see.

There is a lot to see in Cleveland such as the White County Historical Museum, Stoval Mill Covered Bridge, and the Rock Of Cleveland. Cleveland's outdoor activities include hiking, camping, and gold panning. There are RV Parks and Bed & Breakfasts' along with the shops amoung the town.

Cleveland hosts the Easter Eggstravaganza Celebration, Lighted Christmas Parades, and the Gooseneck Pumpkin Festival. The EEC celebrates easter with egg hunts, breakfasts' and an old fashion Easter Parade. The festivals in Cleveland are all family style events, so everyone can enjoy.  These events are made for your fulfillment and entertainment.
